Red Light Therapy

Recently, I've delved into the world of red light therapy, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative.

I've integrated an infrared face mask into my daily self-care ritual, and the benefits have been remarkable.

Red light therapy is known for its healing properties, from reducing inflammation to enhancing skin health.  Red light therapy (RLT) treatments are showing promise in treating wrinkles, redness, acne, scars, and other signs of again. I personally have noticed a smoother skin texture after using it. I use it 3 times a week for 14 minutes. I also love that it is easy to put in your suitcase and use while traveling.

NASA originally began experimenting with red light therapy on plant growth in space and then to help heal wounds in astronauts. Like many developments, other potential uses began to be investigated.

Red light therapy may work in skin health to:

🧴 Stimulate collagen production, which gives skin its structure, strength and elasticity.
🧪 Increase fibroblast production, which makes collagen. Collagen is a component of connective tissue that builds skin.
🩸 Increase blood circulation to the tissue.
🧫 Reduce inflammation in cells.

But for me, it's more than just physical benefits; it's about creating a moment of tranquility in my day, scheduling it as seriously as I would a business appointment.

I use my infrared mask as a part of my evening ritual 3 times a week. I treat those minutes as sacred, allowing myself to unwind and reflect, letting the soothing light work its magic while lying on my infrared mat.

I’ll include the link to my favorite mat below in the comments.

Integrating wellness practices like this into our daily lives isn't just about the physical effects; it's about setting aside time for ourselves and establishing routines that nourish both body and soul.

Have you ever tried red light therapy?
