Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

I recently completed a 10-day series of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and I must say it was an incredible experience. For those unfamiliar, HBOT involves sitting in a pressurized chamber while breathing pure oxygen, which increases oxygen levels in the blood. But it’s not just about the oxygen. It’s about tissue repair, cognitive health, and so much more.

During each session, I spent 90 minutes in the chamber, followed by neurofeedback, and the combination was remarkable. I initially started HBOT to help my body recover from intense workouts, and it worked wonders for tissue repair and muscle recovery. My immune system felt like it got a major boost. I could breathe deeper, move faster, and I felt healthier overall.

But it wasn’t just about physical recovery. I was also focused on the cognitive benefits, and HBOT really delivered. The increased oxygen flow to my brain seemed to enhance my focus and clarity. It’s been used to improve brain function and support cognitive health, and I felt noticeably sharper after the 10-day regimen.

Of course, there was one challenge: a bit of claustrophobia. Being in a pressurized chamber can feel intimidating, especially knowing it takes 20 minutes to decompress before you can exit. Watching an old movie helped distract me, but it definitely took some time to get used to.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

Especially if you’re recovering from surgery or injury. HBOT can speed up healing by up to 50%, making it a powerful tool for both physical and cognitive recovery.

If you’re looking to accelerate healing, improve mental clarity, or simply boost your overall wellness, I highly recommend giving HBOT a try.

To your vitality,

Lizanne
