Breathwork - Part 2
In Week 2 of my breathwork journey, I’m reminded of the immense power held within the simple act of breathing. Last week, I laid the groundwork with foundational deep breathing techniques. This week, I am looking to elevate my practice by increasing the depth and duration of my breaths.
Building Upon Our Foundation:
The goal for Week 2 is to expand our capacity for deep breaths, moving from five to ten per cycle. This increase isn’t just about quantity; it’s about deepening our connection with our breath, enhancing our ability to maintain calm and focus in the face of life’s constant ebbs and flows.
Adding more breaths to each round invites our bodies and minds to adapt to new levels of oxygenation and relaxation. It’s a gentle yet powerful way to push our limits, to explore what we’re capable of, and to see how small increments can lead to significant transformations.
Consistency is key. By repeating these expanded breathing cycles three times, we reinforce the habit of mindfulness and the skill of deep breathing. It’s about creating a space where growth can occur, where each breath becomes a step towards a more centered and resilient self.
I encourage you to approach this week with curiosity and openness. Notice the subtle shifts in your body and mind as you expand your breathwork practice. Remember, this journey is as much about the internal changes as it is about the physical practice.
Looking forward to sharing next steps in Week 3, where we’ll continue to deepen our practice and explore the profound impact of breathwork on our overall well-being.
To your vitality,
Lizanne
